“The Jolly City” - Abu Dhabi Art (JPS Group Show) 2024
Inspired by my experiences in the modern urban landscape of Hong Kong, I envision a "Jolly City," a whimsical world using my signature geometric shapes and vibrant colors. I aim to construct a fun, imaginative world that reflects the spirit of community. Each structure is thoughtfully constructed to evoke a sense of happiness, transcending mere aesthetics to convey a deeper message about community and connection.
For me, the essence of a happy city lies not just in its beautiful buildings, but in the people who inhabit them. The heart of my vision embodies the idea that a thriving community celebrates diversity, collaboration, and support. In my artwork, the structures are reminiscent of people and creatures standing shoulder to shoulder, symbolizing strength and unity.
This vibrant cityscape serves as a canvas for creativity and togetherness, inviting everyone to contribute to the lively tapestry of communal life.
