WANDERING THROUGH SNUFF BOTTLES (MUSEUM OF ART HONG KONG)
“The Hong Kong Artist Dialogue Series: Beyond Delight” invited local artist group STICKYLINE @stickyline and Cynthia Mak @cynthiamakstudio to take inspiration from the “Art of Gifting: The Fuyun Xuan Collection of Chinese Snuff Bottles” exhibition and collaborate to create the large-scale public art installation “𝘞𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘚𝘯𝘶𝘧𝘧 𝘉𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴.”
The artists skillfully employed contemporary visual art language to reinterpret the intricately crafted Chinese snuff bottles, creating a colourful snuff bottle maze. The idea of a wall-less exhibition extended the indoor exhibition gallery into an open public space, allowing visitors to experience a unique and delightful artistic journey.
The exhibition opens from 2024.10.18.
